Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Saturday Mahjong Club mobile application, the tableos.app website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Narae LLC ("we," "us," or "Saturday Mahjong Club"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and register for tournaments. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Tournament registration and payment
When you register for a tournament, you agree to pay the entry fee posted at the time of registration. Payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your full payment card details. Registration is confirmed only after successful payment.
4. Cancellation and refund policy
You may cancel your registration via the Service, subject to the following tiered policy:
- More than 7 days before the tournament starts: full refund to your original payment method, processed within 5 business days.
- 2 to 7 days before: 50% of the entry fee returned as store credit usable for future tournaments. The other 50% is retained to cover venue costs and uneven seating impact.
- Less than 48 hours before: self-service cancellation is unavailable. Contact the tournament organizer or SMC support; refunds at this stage are at the organizer's discretion.
- After the tournament has started: no refund.
If a tournament is cancelled by the organizer or by Narae LLC, all registered players receive a full refund.
5. Team and waitlist participation
You may register as a team captain, join a teammate's team, or play solo. If you join a waitlist, we will notify you by SMS and email if a spot opens, and you will have 24 hours to confirm before the spot is offered to the next person.
6. Code of conduct
By using the Service, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate other players, organizers, or staff.
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Cheat, collude, or otherwise compromise the integrity of any tournament.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Attempt to interfere with the Service's operation, security, or infrastructure.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk messages or spam.
Tournament organizers have authority to disqualify or remove players for code-of-conduct violations during their events.
7. Intellectual property
The Service is built on Table OS™, patent-pending technology owned by Narae LLC. All software, design, branding, and content are the property of Narae LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
8. SMS messaging
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages described in our Privacy Policy. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, HELP for help.
9. Third-party services
The Service uses third-party services including Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Cloudflare (hosting), Apple, and Google. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Narae LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time via app settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.
